I've been on a "let's-draw-Sonic-fancharacters-for-no-reason" kick lately, and I dug through my mental archives and drew up my hedgehog/echidna hybrid character Zachariah (or "Zach" for short).
He looks a little different since I've last drawn him... I still really haven't given him a solid backstory yet, but I know that I do want to include him in my Sonic-based fancomic. ( Good god, ANOTHER COMIC?! This is borderlining on artistic masochism... >___> ) I really like his colours... I wanted to do something different with him, so instead of making him all super-technicolor-omgwtf-bright like most of the Sonic characters (both fan and canon), I went with a sort of sepia-toned colour scheme. I imagined his outward appearence much like that of an old photograph, which sort of matches his personality--old, worn, and dark. ^.^;; Except for his eyes... I wanted his eyes to stand out more than anything, so I made them a piercing blue color. *has a thing for blue eyes~~* (D Well, anyways... hope you like! I'll be posting more of my Sonic-related stuff soon.
